Quiniela
A Quiniela is a sports Pool where you can compete against your friends, family, co-workers, and anyone who joins.
To play a Quiniela, add match result predictions for the tournament matches and score as many points as possible.
Administrator
The creator of the Quiniela; only one (1) administrator exists in each Quiniela. The administrator is in charge of configuring the Quiniela options and managing the Quiniela participants/members.
Participant/MEMBERS
Users that join a Quiniela to play for awards, glory, and bragging rights!
There’s no limit to the number of participants allowed in a single Quiniela.
PARTICIPANT Fee
Amount of money required to become a participant in a Private Quiniela.
Prediction Entry
Participants guess on the final score for the match and outcome.
Match Deadline
Match scheduled kick off time. All predictions must be made by the match deadline in order to take effect for that set of matches. After the Match deadline, the match is locked and no match predictions are accepted.
Match Deadlines are subject to change and will be at the new scheduled kick off time for the match(es).
Match Results
Final official score of the match dictated by the sports governing body.
Match Outcome
In a Quiniela, a match can end with 3 possible outcomes for participants’ predictions: Successful guess of the winner & looser (accrues points), Unsuccessful guess of the winner & looser (does not accrue points), or Tie (accrues points).
Home Goals
Total amount of goals scored in a match by the home team, not including penalty kicks if the match ends in a tie.
Away Goals
Total amount of goals scored in a match by the away team, not including penalty kicks if the match ends in a tie.
Pool Table
Listing of all participants ranked in order of achievement in the Quiniela.
Table Standings
Position on the pool table.
Standing Position
Overall position on the pool table. The higher your position, the better you are doing!
Point Tie
When two or more participants have the same amount of points awarded in the Quiniela pool table.
Tie Breaker
Method used to decide table position from participants who have a point tie in a Quiniela pool table.
Standings Tie
When two or more participants have a point tie and equal tie breakers. In this case the participants share the same standing position.
Pool Winners
Participants who finish in the top standing position.
Penalty Kicks Bonus Points
When an elimination match (round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final) ends in a tie and the match is decided in penalty kicks, the Pool can award extra points for guessing the correct final score (including penalty kicks).
